b imageblack stone as the name sounds is not a stone as many may be thinking, I myself was once in this state sometime past; its not actually a stone but a piece of born that has been given a special treatment to make it absorbent, so that when it is placed over a wound it sucks poison out. Infact, black stone is very effective for treating of snake bites, scorpion stings, poisonous insects bites, boils and so on. black stone is easy to make, though it takes time but you can make one if determined. It is of great importance that one should have one incase of any emergency that would require its application

how to make black stone

get a large and well dried cow or bull thigh bone that does not contain any grease, if the bone is not from animal dead long ago, but from recently butchered, cut it into pieces using a hacksaw, approximately 2-3cm long and boil twice in fresh water then again with water that contains soap, or better still caustic-soda, naoh, to remove all grease conterminants. remember, do not expose it to quick temperature changes, i.e do not throw it into already boiling water, but rather bring it to the boil while in the water, then leave it to dry for 3 days in the sun.

take the cut pieces of the bone and wrap in a kitchen foil as used for wrapping food. use a piece of foil of about 15cm by 15cm so as to make sure its air tight, Put the wrapped bone pieces in the foil into a charcoal fire for about 15 to 20mins, depends on the hotness of the charcoal flame and the size of the pieces of bone. do not allow them to start burning to ash, otherwise after all is done it won't respond when tested if its properly done

remove them from the fire, once they are cooled, remove the blackened bone piece from the foil and test by placing them at your bottom lip, they should stick. If peradventure they didn't stick and remain grey, they need to be rewrap in a foil and return to charcoal fire again for few minutes. With this your black stone should be ready for use. congratulations you have just made for yourself a black stone.
caution: while reheating please do not let it burn into ash, otherwise you will have to start all over.

my next post will center on application of black stone for treatment of wounds and other ailments.
