Hello My Name Is Chris And I Use Fitness to Propel A Fun Lifestyle

in #health8 years ago

I found out about Steemit from my workout partner - how cool is that! I am 38, and an avid lover of all things fitness related. I find it interesting how kids love to play and as they become adults - life gets complicated by money, love, expectations, etc. All of a sudden, many get out of shape, and nearly take what life will give them. I say screw that! It's playtime all the time. You actually can have it all if you want. But like anything you must work hard at it.

I have been fit forever. I don't have those crazy transformation pics because I never lost the love for fitness, but I know many out there have. So I help out as many as I can through my Youtube channel Bod Damn and throughout life by just being a positive person. I firmly believe that you should give as much as you can on the thing that you know the most of. Mine happens to be fitness, and I have taken my love for it and applied it to craft out what most would say is an incredible life.

Follow me and show me what you know about. Ask me questions and maybe I can help you out. Take care and see you around!

Hey Chris. You look like me in my mind. But, when I look in the mirror, well that's a different story. Thanks for the inspiration. I might actually go to the gym now.

You are welcome. So, what keeps you from the gym if I may ask?

I am moving to a condo soon. At this time I don't have the facilities. However, I do walk 2 km everyday. Once my condo has been built. I wil enjoy the facilities. And I will work out everyday.

ok doing something active everyday is a big start to the puzzle. Last year 2016 I rode a bike every day - that was my goal. I ended up only missing 3 days. This year 2017 my goal is to be active everyday (and I dont mean the gym). So far I have not missed a day yet. I do stuff like run, mtb, cruiser bike, surf, snowboard, wakeboard, wake surf, surfing, and longboard skateboarding. I like having the variety of things to do.

In your case, once you get that ability to enjoy gym facilities on a regular basis, it's time to really get a sustainable routine together - one that is in line with your individual body goals. A good trainer will be able to really fine tune you a plan. That's what most people need, a plan. They also need to be shown correct form and general oversight until they are self sustainable. Much like a momma bird with her babies. Eventually there comes a time when you must fly the coop.

I can help you out with starting if you can give me some specifics on your goals, and maybe your starting body condition. I think it's really good that you are wanting to get more fit - that's a win win once you really apply the drive.

Thanks so much Chris. My stomach is bulging. I have a plan to cut body fat. I think the body works as system, so crunches aren't the answer. I will focus more on cardio.

A good fitness plan is one that attacks from all angles. The video I am editing later today and should be on my channel maybe monday next week talks about this. But allow me to give you the bulletpoints here:

  1. Nutrition - eating right 80-90% of the time will ensure that you crush this part of the plan. Eating well eludes so many, and therefore is almost certainly a lacking piece of peoples fitness goals.

  2. Sleep - this is where you rebuild, this is where you destress. You must have adequate sleep in order to make the nutrition and exercise be really worth it.

  3. Workout - This is the gym, the plan, the structured workout. That must be in place to properly break down muscle in order to rebuild it. You can build, tone, and etc etc with the proper workout routine. A good routine will have you in the gym for 1-1.5 hours a day.

  4. Activity - this is the other cardio based stuff that is outside the gym. This is the playtime kinda stuff like when we were all little. Get outside - run, bike, play.

Again, that video in more detail will likely land on monday next week on my youtube channel.

I will watch it. You are on your way to being a star, Chris. Thanks for your informative post. I look forward to your video.
