Start easy, just skip breakfast... then work up to a longer period, between 14 and 36 hours. Maybe do it once or twice a week, but not too much. Women should be slightly shorter in duration.

Yes drinking water and non caloric drinks is OK... water in the morning is vital. One of the ideas is to not cause an insulin rise... anytime you eat this happens.
