when the left side of the brain is damaged or destroy is what people Commonly know as STROKE
Damage to the left side of the brain may result in paralysis of the left part of the body or the loss of ability to perceive and interpret emotions.
The left part of the brain is named ‘hemisphere’ by psychologist. It controls the entire left side of the body and the ability to express emotion, interpretation of nonverbal information and Ken of spartial relations.
The right hemisphere controls interpretation of geometric and even visual spaces. It allow us to recognise and perceive voices, dream during sleep and determination of shape and weight of any object by touching. Damage to this part of the brain causes functional impairment of different degrees which will arise from mild disabilities up to absolute incapacitation. This may lead the patient to inability or difficulty to recognise faces and left half of the field of vision may be impaired.
The patient may become childish or indifferent, prone to depression or hysteria and impulsive.
The patient have tendencies to indulge or cosset in delusion, to experience various bodily disturbance relating to perpetual impairment and carrying on bizarre conversation
