That was a great interview! Thanks for sharing your story! I've had tinnitus since I was a child too, and always thought it was normal. It was not until I gave in about 10 years or so ago and got hearing aids, that the sounds were greatly diminished for the first time in my life. I have had some recurrences though - one was just year, and I kept thinking i could hear crickets chirping wherever I went! That was much more annoying than the ringing, which I can now hear, because I am talking about it. LOL! My 90 year old father-in-law suffers so badly from it that he can't sleep, and has been told he just has to live with it. :-(

Thanks! I really appreciate it. I've been working hard to try to help people with tinnitus for a while now, and I was so honored to have my work featured by the American Tinnitus Association. I'm sorry to hear that about your dad! I would definitely play this interview for him. Also, it might be helpful to refer him to my website: https://rewiringtinnitus.com - I publish tons of helpful videos and posts, and I have a book out that offers a complete strategy for habituation: https://rewiringtinnitus.com/book
I'm also happy to connect with you or your father in law directly. You can reach me at [email protected]
That's so kind of you. I'll certainly pass the information on to him, but he is very stubborn. LOL!
