RE: How Do We Measure Success?

in #health7 years ago (edited)

When i was younger it was all about $$$$

Now i am in my mid 30's , I had lost both parents over 10 years ago within a year apart,i had lost my everything. I was a angry man whos only scale in life was how much money i could make and flaunt it around. Now i have a family again with 2 wonderful daughters. We have had some health issues with both girls and honestly after everything started to tailspin in my mid 20's my girls are what recentered me and gave my life value where i saw nothing but emptyness before. I would say now i measure my success by how my wife and daughters look at me now knowing that i am there rock instead of the lump of coal i once was.

I think a lot of people had the experience you did in your youth and you are probably a better person for it now that you changed the way you perceive things.
