Hello everyone at Steemit, here I bring you another publication more corresponding to the themes of Neurosalud. Informative topics about different brain pathologies and the different segments of the spine.
Since I live in a country where there is little respect for traffic laws by many citizens and it is common to drive under the influence of alcohol, automobile and motorcycle accidents are very frequent, here I bring you a small collection of images of some cases (dorsolumbar vertebral fractures) that I have had the opportunity to attend in my professional practice.
Image 1- Fracture crush of L1 (front view).
Image 2 - Crushing fracture of L1 (Lateral view).
Image 3 - Fracture in double burst, vertebral body of L1 and L5 (front view).
Image 4 - Fracture in double burst, vertebral body of L1 and L5 (side view).
Image 5 - Vertebral body shearing fracture of T8 (front view).
Image 6 - Vertebral body shearing fracture of T8 (axial view).
Image 7 - Fracture crush in the vertebral body of T12 (side view).
Image 8 - Fracture crush in the vertebral body of T12 (front view).
These are just some of the many cases that arrive every year at the hospital where I work, most of these cases could have been avoided only with minimum safety measures: respecting the signaling of traffic lights, driving at the legal speed allowed , do not drink alcohol if you are going to drive.
We must be aware of these aspects, since many of these injuries leave permanent sequelae in the patient, affecting their quality of life, both work and personal.
I hope that this brief publication will help you to become aware and responsible when it comes to driving.
REMEMBER: GOOD LIFE AND HEALTH FOR ALL.
