Bodybuilding, it's good, actually really good, not for the body alone but the mind also. It decrease your rate of developing heart diseases, engaging in it helps to reduce and control your risk of a high blood pressure. Apart from keeping your muscles, bones and joints healthy, it also helps in putting you into a healthy mind and boosting your mental well being. And it is known to help people with arthritis and osteoporosis.
Research has shown that exercising regularly which includes weight training and and aerobic exercises reduces your chance of getting anxiety and depression.

If you want to start building your body, you might want to start it gradually preferably, starting with your body weight to build your upper body and the strength.
Bodybuilding has not been cut out for a category of people and gender, anyone at any age of any gender can build his or her body.

To start the journey of bodybuilding and building your upper body strength, the Runtastic Apps have proven to been so helpful and fun. You don't need to take journey step-wise and gradually so you don't stress your muscles and joints which can lead to a tear or strain in the muscles and it really gives a lot of discomfort so starting it gradually is the prime precaution you must take.
Push Ups
If you want to avoid any strain during your Push Ups, you might want to set your body posture well.
Here is a general body position you must set your body to, so that your shoulders won't hurt during your workouts.
If you are training with the Runtastic Push Ups app, it'll help you start off gradually with the number of reps, rest time for the day, untill you are able to go as many reps as possible. It also keeps track of all your sections and records. Log in with your Facebook account and keep up with the competition between you and your friends.
Pull Ups
Pull Ups are actually one of the most imporatnt exercises and I would recommend that everybody who is into body buildiing must add to their routines.
Here is how to do it.
- Grab a bar, any bar provided it supports your weight with your palms facing forward thus away from you.
- Stick your chest out while your hand is stretched and holding the bar, bring your torso around 30 degress forming a curvature with your your lower back. This should be your starting position.
- Pull your torso up by drawing your sholder and upper arm down and back untill the bar reaches your upper chest.
- Lower your torso back to the starting position slowly untill arms are fully extented.
- Repeat this process as the trainer prescribes.

Thanks @collinz. But I think you could add weight exercises to your routines by starting with the Push Ups and Pull Ups.
