I'm starting to collect these new additional flower power family in my garden. I have been arranging dozen bouquet of roses, but now my interest of plants have gone further.

HEALTH BENEFITS:

YOU CAN BREATHE WELL

Plants usually releases oxygen that can be very beneficial for our breathing, however, during night time most plants excrete sweat like humans, thus, they release carbon dioxide. Succulents, and other few plants like orchids keep excreting oxygen all throughout the night. Keep these plants in your bedroom for an extra boost of refreshed air during your sleep that ultimately leads to a better sleeping pattern.

CLEANSE THE AIR

Aside from giving you a refreshing breath, it can also purify the air. Succulents are excellent at cleansing the air and removing deadly toxins. A recent study by NASA’s research team have found that they were able to remove almost 87 percent of volatile organic compounds (VOC). These plants are a great aid in library and study environments because VOC substances like benzene and formaldehyde are mostly found in rugs, cigarette smoke, grocery bags, books and ink. Some of these mentioned substances can harm our lungs, worry no more out cute succulent is always there to save the day!

FIGHT DISEASES

About 10 percent of the moisture in the environment is water based released by plants. The same goes to your home, the more plants you have, especially if it's by groups, the better you can improve the humidity in your home without the help of a humidifier and can give you a flawless skin without getting dry, stop colds, prevents sore throat and dry cough. A study found by Agricultural University of Norway found a roughly 60 percent drop in sickness rates in offices with plants. Tina Bringslimark, who is an expert of environmental psychology, told The Telegraph: "We made a thoroughly investigation int the amount of self-reported sick leave there was and compared it with the amount of plants they could see from their desk. The more plants that are visible to their eyes, then the less self-reported sick leave there was".

ACTIVATE YOUR MIND TO FOCUS

A large number of studies of both students, parents and workers have found that concentration, attentiveness and brain cognitive abilities can be improved when studying or working with plants in the room or office. A University of Michigan study found that cognitive memory retention improved by as high as 20 percent when plants were place in the office. Small plants such as succulents are tantamount to success at work, as they don’t occupy a lot of space on your table.

HELP YOU TO RECOVER

As being mentioned about small plants, succulents can contribute to reducing flu-like symptoms, heartaches, headaches, fever, coughs, and other diseases. According to researchers at Kansas State University, patients at the hospital with plants in their rooms needed less analgesic, had lower blood pressure and heart rate and experienced less fatigue and nervousness.
