I know. The saying is “An APPLE a day keeps the doctor away.” But now the experts are saying that eating one egg per day can help prevent cardiovascular disease. A study of 400,000 subjects provides the basis for this news. Preventing cardiovascular disease would reduce the number of strokes and heart attacks among populations, and would also address other issues with cardiovascular disease, including arrhythmias, heart failure and problems with heart valves.

An analysis of the study data, revealed that those who ate “about an egg per day related to a lower risk of heart disease compared with not eating eggs."

Yes, it is very sad that we went through a period of decades, being told eggs were bad for us to eat, when the real problem was with the researchers who came up with that gem, due to their ignorance in determining then that ALL cholesterol was unhealthy. It was an off the cuff misstatement that negatively affected many peoples' health.

I'll just be sure not to eat that egg with bacon and sausages every day!

Those could offset the healthy part of it, couldn't they! 😏
