I've never considered taking a diet. What I do is to take care of my alimentation and that doesn't mean to not eat sugar or junk food at all but not so often. I like considering that travelling (hiking, climbing, walking) makes it the best way to take care of your life and health, so that's what I'm doing as much as I can. It's not just a passion but a lifestyle :)
