I had 2 upper first premolars(those are the one behind the canines) extracted 3 days ago - and have had self-ligating braces since February 27, 2018. 3 weeks ago i also had one of my impacted wisdom teeth extracted. My orthodontist told me before I
have two options, one is to get two of my first premolar and thats gonna push my upper teeth back and they're gonna look great, and number two option was to get no teeth remove and to just let the teeth move back slightly but i chose to have my two premolar removed because my teeth were really moving forward.
Anyway, i was OK after the extraction because of the anaesthesia given to me during the procedure, but after 4 hours i was very uncomfortable. I took the medicines prescribed by my oral surgeon. I was too hungry but I was able to eat ice cream. My mouth was so sore at that point, so I didn't feel up to brushing my teeth the next 24 hours.
Next day, I was swollen but I was in less pain than the day before. I did take pain meds, but i was still pretty tender, so soft foods like porridge, boiled eggs worked best for me.
The third day, I felt pretty much back to normal! I'm still eating soft foods but started to brush my teeth and rinse salt water 3 times a day.
On the other hand, my older sister had impacted wisdom tooth extraction a year ago and I remember she was just eating porridge and soft foods the whole week!
Overall, recovery was very quick compared to wisdom tooth extraction, and the pain didn't last long. I got lots of rest today and feeling much better.
I'm very scared of braces! I never used any and I'm scared one day the dentist will say I need to, ahhhh I would die
Hehehehheeh I think you dont meed braces dear. I saw you have a very beautiful teeth

I had all four of my widsom teeth extracted at the same time (the two bottom ones were impacted and growing sideways). No anesthesia except for lidocaine (though I took pain medication for a couple of days afterwards). I was lucky and after the first couple days there was no pain and I was able to eat normally. I've never had braces though!
