Who else in the morning likes to stay in bed going through social media, emails, cryptocurrency charts, and pretty much anything but getting out of bed?
Well, I really do but I started feeling super sluggish as it went on every morning so I decided to commit and wake up earlier in the morning!
So, here’s the thing about waking up early. If I have to do it for an event that I have to go to, then I easily get myself out of bed at 3:00 A.M if it’s that early for a flight lets say or 7:00 A.M for an early lecture. If I’m left with my own vices, getting up early will not happen unless I am forced to.
Maybe, you’re just like me in that sense and also want to get yourself up in the morning before you have to be somewhere so you actually have time to do something like eat breakfast, workout, or even read.
I definitely wanted that for myself so I’m going to show you a few techniques that I’ve used and never fail to get my up early in the morning! Completely crazy, you say? Well, its been working for me and here it is.
1. Pick Your Goal Time
If you’d like to get up at 6 AM then there’s your goal. You want to ease yourself into waking up at that time instead of shocking your system. Set that goal time every day of the week until you’re completely reprogrammed.
2. Set The Alarm Clock 20 Minutes Earlier
If mornings are a serious issue for you, keep the same time for two days. For example, Mondays & Tuesdays you start at 7 am and then Wednesday bring it down to 6:40 until you have reached your goal of 6 am. Going cold turkey all the sudden and aiming for 6 am right away if you setting yourself up for failure since you wont have any energy throughout your day. Remember, in order for this method to work you have to be 100% honest with yourself.
3. Give Yourself Enough Time For A Good Night’s Sleep
As you start to get up earlier and earlier, go to bed earlier and earlier each day. The ultimate goal is to get up earlier easier and not have to drag yourself out of bed every single morning.
4. Find A Good Reason To Be Up Early
You want to find something that will make you jump out of bed in the morning and can’t wait to get up for. Even getting excited over small things such as your morning cup of coffee or tea works.
Thanks for sticking around to the end of my post on how to wake up early. If you plan on putting this system into action, then I would love to hear about it down in the comments below.
I think and think for months and years. Ninety-nine times, the conclusion is false. The hundredth time I am right.
