Hey ladies here is my take on this stage of life. Well we that are going thru it know it is everything a woman does not want in life in exchange for one thing most of do want. The end of that monthly problem is a wonderful blessing, of course there is chemistry to change that cycle. With it comes perhaps years of bloating, weight gain, hot flashes, hair growth, dryness, low libido, body aches, mood swings, and brittle bones.
Sounds like side effect on medicine. I have tried these wonder herbs, black cohosh, dong quai, and shatavari. The only result I found in my experience was a reduction of hot flashed using dong quai. I have had menopause about for 4 years now. The worse of all these symptoms I have is weight gain. Of course it piled up on me after my shoulder was screwed up in an auto accident. I have used bicycling to keep my weight in control because running is too hard on my knees. So far I have not been taking anything any more, just letting nature take it's course. I have been eating as healthy as possible and I keep walking as much as possible. I seen a health show years ago the, hosted by the author of the book, The Fungus Link, Doug Kaufman that berries especially red raspberries have elegiac acid that is great for peri and menopausal women. I tried some progesterone creams when I was in peri menopause, I really did not notice any difference in energy . I thought it would be a good idea if we could compare notes and opinions on this topic. In my honest opinion I don't believe enough honest research is done for this condition/stage of a woman's life to get much help from the medical community. In a day were profit is number one, keeping patients longer is more profitable for doctors. I always warn people, medicine is only a practice, not a definite science.
Maca Powder really works. I stir about a teaspoon into my coffee every morning. Let it get into your system and in a week or so you could possibly feel more energized and have no hot flashes. I like your writing voice.....It makes me laugh.
Thank you so much for your help, I am going to try that. That is such a nice compliment, I love to make people laugh it is my fuel. I am so glad you have tried natural remedies, that's what I like to stick to, I can't stand pharmaceuticals. Hope all is well with you and steemit works out well for you as well.
Thank you.
You are more than welcome weq.
Wow, I'm so happy I found you. I've had hormonal "issues" over half of my life and was diagnosed with peri-menopause in my late 20's. I'm in my mid 40's now and believe I am in menopause. My hormones aren't driving my intense mood swings anymore. The thing I don't like is sweating for no reason. I know they're called 'hot flashes' but I don't feel hot, I just start sweating like I'm hot. I am excited to see that you've started a conversation about this. I look forward to further posts.
Awesome. That is the best way we can really learn how to relieve menopause, word of mouth. It is a very critical part of a women's' health, I really don't want to leave it in the hands of a corrupt medical association that is just trying to make a buck on us. And the FDA is a joke allowing so many toxic thing to be sold just by giving them a nice handout. I think comparing notes together we can accomplish more than the medical community ever did. keep in contact and if you know other women that are going thru this encourage them to inquire or recommend helpful tips. Thank you @creativeusername.
