Artificial blood is coming to eliminate blood!

in #health7 years ago

One of the problems in medicine is the lack of blood. Due to various reasons patients need blood, but the amount of blood is not easily available. For a long time, there has been one of the most common medical problems in this blood. And researchers have long been looking for ways to make alternative blood. Finally, researchers from the University of Bristol and NHS Blood and Transplant have found solutions to this problem.

They have discovered ways to create red blood cells. There is already a synthetic blood-making technology, but there was no way to produce so much quantity in practical terms so far. These methods of making blood were not such a benefit. Red blood cells were made from stem cells. Thus, 50 thousand cells could be made once in a while. But there are trillions of trillions of cells needed to donate blood, there was no way to make it.

This new technology has created the world's first errythroid cell line, which can produce a large amount of red blood cells at a time. Researchers have claimed that they have already been able to produce a few liters of blood. Stem cells are stuck in early stages of growth, which means they become immortal. This sample is used to build some red blood cells with some amounts.

Professor Dave Annie was a writer of this research published in Nature Communications Journal. He said, "In the meantime, artificial blood was being thought of as an alternative means of giving blood to the patients. The first use of artificial blood may be for people with rare blood groups. "

However, it is applicable to any new technology. The cost behind this technology will not be less. Needless to say that it will cost more than ordinary blood. But still the process of normal blood donation will continue, there is still no possibility of closure of that process.
