When health means taking drugs to suppress sickness.

How well are you? How sick are you? Many people consider themselves well despite being on prescription drugs, being over weight or tired all the time. Wellness doesn't mean you aren't actively ill it means you are healthy and vibrant.
I had an overweight, insulin dependent diabetic tell me she was "pretty healthy" and it dawned on me being sick even with a life altering auto-immune disease such as type 2 diabetes is such a normal occurrence that we have lost sight of what true health and wellness feels like. In my opinion, as a nurse and a CNTP, healthy doesn't mean continuing on your normal eating pattern and injecting insulin as needed. It means finding the root cause of the illness and correcting it.

In case you have no idea what a Certified Nutritional Therpay Practitioner (CNTP) is...it mean I use food and nutrients the way a doctor would prescribe medication. It focus on finding the root cause of an illness and correcting that rather than treating the symptoms with medications. Here's a little article I came across that explains it a little but feel free to comment with questions too.
