There is no downvote on Steem is there? I would downvote if I could. I appreciate that you are just sharing what you believe, which is normally fine. Normally I am perfectly capable of ignoring things I disagree with.
But in this case this particular belief is both untrue, and very harmful.
Pharmaceutical companies do not deliberately refuse to cure illnesses and keep you sick on purpose. This is easily disproven since there are MANY pharmaceutical products on the market that do, in fact, cure various illnesses and conditions.
There are not, in point of actual fact, better wholesome all natural ways to boost your child's immune system that work better than vaccines. It took vaccines to eliminate polio. It took vaccines to eliminate smallpox. It took vaccines to make measles a rare occurrence rather than a common plague responsible for the deaths of many many children. The traditional natural means people had been using for generations before vaccines DID NOT WORK, why do you think so many people died of these illnesses that are hardly a blip on our concern radar these days?
You are free to believe what you want, but I can't help but speak up when your beliefs will harm other people. I feel a responsibility to at least post and make this information clear to anyone who might be reading these comments.
Vaccines are a vital part of our health infrastructure and have saved untold millions of lives in the last century.
Pharmaceutical companies are big business, yes, and they do some shady shit sometimes, yes....but they do also create cures that do work and have saved many many many people.
So if it cures illnesses (which it doesn't because vaccines are given preventative) then how do you explain that so many still get that illness even if they are fully vaccinated? Like my daughter with pertussis? When an outbreak occurs like the one at Harvard in the last year when all but one student that got mumps was actually fully vaccinated, they come back with the excuse that probably those people are exposed to too much of the virus to be completely safe from infection. So how then, do you explain that the students who weren't vaccinated didn't get it, all but one? If vaccines protect, then why were the vaccinated ones not protected? There is even now a suggestion that college campuses are breeding grounds for infections, which is probably true, but they mention that someone should get a third shot to be safe! As a result, students get scared and run to the nearest doctor's office to get their shots...It happens and it always has. Thing is, what they scare them with is the possible bad complications the disease can give, especially men, but what they don't tell you is that the chance that one of those complications occur is lower than the chance to vaccine injury. I'm sorry, I respect everyone's beliefs, but I'm someone who used to get paid to help cover up these things and write exactly the stuff I mentioned above, I know exactly how these companies and their helpers the government and media work. Now, since we've established that vaccines don't cure anything, I'd like to hear you give me one medication that has actually CURED anything. Medicines are developed to treat symptoms, and mask the cause, not to cure the cause. The paracetamol you take for a headache, doesn't 'cure' your headache, it takes away the symptoms...The most important thing for the prevention of any disease is a good immunity. So first and foremost it is important for a child to be breastfed for at least six months. There are no ifs ands or buts about that. Vaccinations happen at a too young age and there are too many. So even if someone wants to vaccinate their kids, then it is not hard to see that so many at such a young age can never be a good thing. Anyone could figure that out really, but it's still approved and it's still administered my health professionals who TOOK AN OATH not to do damage to someone willingly. But they are. And if you truly believe that these companies are in any way in the business for helping others rather than themselves, then you have no idea what kind of business they are in. There are numerous whistle-blowers in the medical industry that say this. 30 or more holistic/alternative practitioners/ doctors got killed, most of them were actually CURING people. But that must just all be lies then? The thing is: the world of pharma, GMO's, banking etc. etc. they are all connected and are all in it only for themselves. Never to help people. And the reason why you believe that their vaccines actually saved as many lives as they imply, without taking into account that other factors like hygiene and nutrition were hardly ever accounted for in those reports, is because that's what they want you to do. I am curious: what's your stance on fluoride in the water supply?
Almost nothing in the 600 or so words you've written there is true or accurate. It would take my 25000 words just to explain how and why all of that is wrong, and I simply and not prepared to do that, especially since numerous people far more qualified than myself already have.
I am not here to convince you.
Dear Readers: please know that what this person has said is not true, it is dangerous and reckless advice based on poor information. Please make your assessment of vaccination after reading information from a reputable source.
So please tell me about your qualifications. I'd love to hear this. Besides this: what do you know about me really? You seem too young to be a doctor, but of course I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you know nothing about me either.
I know nothing about you. I'm not criticizing you, you are probably a fine person. I am criticizing these beliefs.
Kudos to this reaction to @misslasvegas. That kind of thinking is dangerous. I just watched John Oliver talk about how the Somali population in Minnesota had more cases of measles to date than the entire US had last year because of their reluctance to vaccinate.
But of course that doesn't matter to an anti-vaxer. They come along and say "Well, when I was a kid everyone had measles and things were just fine." oi. insert eye roll here.
same here :) But the other way around of course...The thing is, if I had a dollar for every time someone slaps qualifications at others without knowing anything about the other and then changes their tone when asked about them, I'd be sitting in the Bahama's sipping cocktails.
In regards to you addressing the readers of this post: I'm pretty sure they are well capable to make their own mind up in this matter without you telling them this with or without your credentials.
