Perhaps where they required safe clean drinking water, or where they required companies to remove lead from paint and then outlaw it's use.

You mention safe, clean drinking water. Now I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but I believe in the US, here in Ireland and some other parts of Europe and some in Asia, they still add fluoride to the water supply. I don't call that looking out for the people...
Yes it is very prevalent all over the planet! For your reference there does not seem to be much Fluoride in Western Europe's water.
"As the following table shows, only 3% of the population in western Europe is currently consuming fluoridated water. Europe’s reasons for not fluoridating its water are explained here. Despite not fluoridating its water, tooth decay rates in these western European countries are no higher than in the few western countries (e.g., the United States) that fluoridate their water."

Danone the major producer of bottled water here in Indonesia produces water products that have Fluoride in them! =(
As usual thank you for your comment!
Upvoted! =)
Yes, you're right, Western Europe is not highly fluoridated. Unfortunately I live in Ireland and about 75% of Irish water has fluoride in it. Funny enough, this is one of the countries where tooth problems are actually at very high rates compared to the UK for instance. The people who don't have added fluoride, usually get their water from a spring or well. You can see the effects of it here too. The Irish fighting spirit is not here any more and whatever you say to them: you'll get a blank stare and the answer I always hear is: 'I know it's bad, but what can we do about it? Nothing.' That's proof here that fluoride does its job. We distil our water, but you still can't stop it completely since it's in the shower water too of course. That's why we're moving to an area with a private water scheme.
What a fantastically interesting comment! Thank you!
It is comments like this - informed and relevant - that make me proud to be here on Steemit.
In Australia there are filters which take out most of the fluoride but I believe they are hard to get... The last one I saw was at an Ayahuasca ceremony out in the bush.
I know many Irish people and have spent time in Ireland. I agree with you about the potential loss of the Irish spirit. I have a lot to say about the prevalence of Drugs in the society... they are clearly just another form of pharmacological suppression... I have so much to say about this and I know Steemit is currently the right platform to express these ideas!
On my farm in Australia I live off rain water harvesting. The same goes for where I live on Bali but here we have a HUGE filtration system which is probably much better than drinking water straight out of the tanks like I do in Oz. Still it tasted great and I was never sick once! ;-)
I applaud your proactivity in moving your family! I try to do the same but I travel a lot and sometimes I am unable to get access to clean/unadulterated drinking water...
My intention is to move to the slums in Jakarta soon and bring the liberation that Steemit affords to the least represented people in Indonesia...
Clean drinking water is one of the biggest issues for every human being on the planet ... without it we will die - vaccinated or not!
You rock! Thank you for your continued comments and engagement!
Stay tuned I have big plans...
=)
Thank you for such kind and uplifting words. I will definitely stay tuned and hope you do the same as I'm not done talking yet =) You rock too ;)
Removing lead stabilizers from paint is a good example mate! =)
