Green tea lovers raise their hands. The many health benefits and more importantly its role in weight loss, have made green tea one of the most popular drinks of the millennium. Although the drink is relatively recent and is currently harvested in Sri Lanka. Green tea comes from the leaves of Camellia sinensis and is not subjected to any oxidation process making it a relatively healthier alternative to the oxidized variants available in the market. It keeps the maximum of antioxidants and polyphenols responsible for increasing immunity and protects against cough and flu. Green tea has also been linked to the promotion of a healthy heart by controlling bad cholesterol or LDL levels. The consumption of green tea is also known to facilitate healthy hair and clear skin.
