'drinking coffee on an empty stomach irritates more than it rejuvenates. Substituting hot water for coffee has been a great change, I have been meaning to take coffee out of my diet but was unable to find a replacement.'

Me too re: coffee as a stomach irritant. If you have the option, adding juice from half a lemon to your water first thing in the morning helps stimulate digestive fire and clear toxins too.
