RE: Common Painkillers Increase the Risk of Heart Attacks

This is exactly how medical reports should be made. Excellent work. We rarely see this kind of meta-analysis even in reputable health blogs. Bravo. This is exactly how steemit posts can shine.

As someone with chronic neurological pain I would suggest getting off them since eventually, like almost all things, the body develops tolerance. You will be amazed how you get used of pain, almost like a background noise. Sometimes is unbearable but you will learn to cope.

I learned this while I was in Japan almost 2 decades ago. They are against painkillers for the reasons you mentioned but also because they understand the concept of tolerance. This is also why they are resistant in regards to psychological disorders. They see them as obligatory rides of passage rather than a problem.

Thanks mate you are too kind. I think the problem is a societal one as you suggest - we have been brainwashed into thinking that even the slightest discomfort be it psychological or physical needs to be medicated. It is a grave error and may end up damaging our health in all sorts of ways.

We live in the era of addiction. From social media to medication, we forget how we are getting hooked.

You know I am not kind. I give credit where it is deserved. You are one of the few that improves upon criticism (not taking it personally and all). Keep it up!

That's why I like you so much - you don't take BS from anyone (including me) - you remind me a lot of my late grandfather - he he had a razor sharp ability to cut out the crap and get straight to the point!

My family also tells me that I remind them my late grandfather. I guess we all relate to those who inspire us more or less.

Yes I think so :)
