Many people follow good eating habits they don’t smoke, drink or have junk food still they suffer from bad health, indigestion and lack of energy to do all required activities of life with full intensity and involvement.
People unknowingly do few things that should be avoided at all cost to live a healthy life.
Let's start our list of 5 things that should never be done after food
1: Never drink water immediately after food
I know many people drink water simultaneously with food few drink at once at the end, both these ways are not good for your health.
When we eat food our body needs heat to digest the food and extract essential nutrition from it but when a lot of water is consumed at once our body has to work extra to produce the necessary heat to digest the food.
What to do when I feel very thirsty?
- You can drink a little amount of water while having food but never drink a lot at once immediately after completing food.
- Eat food which is less spicy and take high water content things like cucumber,tomato, radish etc this is one the reason why salad is always advised to be included in your meal.
If you still feel thirsty have lemon water or buttermilk after food.
So what's the right way?
You should have water at least 1 hour after food and have normal water it should not be very cold.
2: Never Smoke after food
I know this one will be the most difficult thing to stop for my smoker friends because the joy of smoking after food with a good friend over a conversation is just too good but smoking a cigarette immediately after food is equivalent to smoking 10 cigarettes at once so either quit smoking or wait at least 30 mins after having food.
Smoking increases nicotine level in the blood which leads to improper digestion and over time body loses the capability to extract all essential nutrition from the food.
- It increases the probability of lung and intestine cancer by 50%.
- According to experts smoking one cigarette after food is equivalent to smoking 10 cigarettes.
3: Never Sleep Immediately after having food
The process of digestion takes the food downwards from Mouth to Stomach to Intestine, if we lie down our posture causes an interruption in the natural flow of the food downwards and the body has to work extra to take it downwards also the acid required to digest the food can come to the chest area causing heartburns.
Sleeping immediately after food is the main reason why people gain belly fat.
4: Never Take Bath After Having Food
As stated earlier that our body needs heat to digest food taking bath immediately decreases body temperature drastically which will lead to stomach issues in the long run
Its always recommended waiting at least 30 minutes after having food
5: No Tea/Coffee After Having Food
Due to Caffeine and Tannic acid present in Tea/Coffee, it reduces your capability to absorb Iron and Protein from the food which leads to Fatigue though Tea/Coffee gives us an instant burst of energy but it fades away very quickly

Bro everything we eat after eating one type of meal is definitely going to bring not so better results. It's always advisable to take a break of at least 1 hour between different kinda meals.
And thanks brother with that water stuff. I used to drink a lot of water during my meals.
