Why You Should Take Cold Showers

in #health7 years ago

Daily showers are very important for hygene, but also for your health. Most people like to take lukewarm or hot showers, because it seems more relaxing. However, it is much healthier to take cold showers, both for the skin and various body functions. So I decided to list the different advantages of a cold shower.

The cold shower immediately stimulates and strengthens the immune system. The organism is now better protected, in particular against virus and inflammatory diseases.

Next, cold water is excellent for you skin, both externally and internally. Showering with cold water promotes a firm and elastic skin. On the other hand, hot water does exactly the opposite, the skin becomes flabby and dry.

Moving on, it is very important for people who have circulatory disorders. An efficient therapy that not only promotes blood circulation but also helps to distribute more oxygen and nutrients throughout the organism is water, obviously.

By improving blood flow and vascular contracture, varicose veins are now prevent and reduced.

Vascular contracture in the shower with cold water relieves the internal organs, as the excretion of toxins and impurities through the pores is favored.

Cold showers stimulate the organism, activates it and sets it on alert. I recommend you to start the day with a cold bath to shake off the tiredness quickly. Also after a sports activity in the morning, a cold shower is very recommendable.

A study showed that a showering with cold water stimulate the brain area, which is responsible for our happiness, which is very advisable against depression.

Last but not least, cold water is way better for your hair than warm or rather hot water. Cold water helps against dandruff and hair loss.

I think many people dont realize or rather never thought of how more important/beneficial it is to shower with cold water and that hot showers are actually not only relaxing, but also very damaging.

I am pretty sure that there are more benefits, which I haven't covered in this short article. So please let me know what I have missed out.

I will also, later, cover up how to start with taking cold showers, because it can be very challenging :D

Thanks for reading :)
