Why Ignorance kills

in #health7 years ago

Ignorance as the keynote here is a state of lacking vital information.
People in Africa as a continent, full mostly of black people, I always think if we are on another planet because of ill-information most Africans have to this civilized world, BT the story has started changing since the invention of ICT, we are becoming computer literate deficient not although.

Ignorance has brought setback to my domestic country, so to say because I will be focusing mostly on Her.
I have had many instances where people died not because of disease epidemic but because of ignorance.
I remembered how HIV positive patient die early in one of the hospitals in KTP LGA, because of isolations they face from so called quack nurse we have mostly in our health sector, seriously these people really suffered from their own ignorance and that of nurses. This has been an unsolved problem lately before I renovated to my new area.
The main death of these people conclusively I can say is mostly because they are ignoramus.

Nowadays, people suffer and die of diseases that can be managed, diseases especially heart related and renal related diseases.

Most death in Nigeria today are due to preventable disease in the essence that these disease could be managed and cured without ignorance of the affected individual.

Take for instance End Stage Renal Disease ESRD, also called Kidney Failure mostly caused by Diabetes can still be managed can still be managed but patients don't live up to the expectations that could secure them life.

I learnt that ignorance kills more than disease after the death of a young boy in the close hospital after his parents was unable to secure the money for dialysis. His problem shouldn't have worsen to that but his parents didn't follow if the right prescription to diabetes, and high blood pressure. Still they kept giving this young boy illegal drugs, concoctions and keep praying. Yes prayer works but some instances things are done practically. That was how we lost him when condition worsened and not enough fund to secure his life. What a great lost to his people, a talented young boy, my needs.

So readers Africans especially should use this my little article to liberate themselves, say no to Ignorance.

Thanks for reading.
