I did it after I had cancer and was on chemo ( recommended by even my homeopath). My brother is a doctor and researcher into natural therapies in Germany and recommended it. I don't know if it helped or not - was feeling so bad at the time anyway.
I followed the original book - then they came out with even more types.... I think it got a bit too stressful to try to be really strict. I am bloodtype B and black pepper, buckwheat and few other things are on my no list and I still don't eat them.
But I am mostly trying to eat whole foods, organic and homegrown when possible...

Yes, the diet was super strict and I ate that way for about 2 years and then I found Bragg, which was so much better for me. I agree the whole foods, raw, organic and homegrown are the best.
