How do you plan to get in shape this year?
Each day we are bombarded with questions of fitness and getting to our prime body image.
Do you eat well and count calories? Are you workout 3-5 days a week doing a mix a weights and cardio? Do you go for a walk every night with your dog, your spouse or to get out of the house?
When was the last time you took a vacation to recharge your body, mind and soul? Where did you go? What did you do, if anything? Where are you going to go the next time you need to recharge?
Maybe we should make a plan to work smarter and not just harder? Do you have time to focus some of your attention on your hobbies? or is your 9-5 so taxing on your body that you just go home, eat dinner and watch Netflix?
One of the most interesting ways I found to get my mind in shape is to play a game. Really you can play any game. You can gather people and play together or play alone on an app on your phone.
For me I used to enjoy the game of chess. There have been a few evening my wife and I have set up the game. We took an evening and played the game. Although she had heard of the game she had never played before.
I got the opportunity to teach her a game that my grandfather thought me by in the mid 1980's.
Getting your mind in shape is not just about work, reading and relaxing. It can be teaching someone you love, something they don't know.
When you begin to teach other something, you in turn begin to learn...
