Most people are quitting those nasty aluminium infested antiperspirants and are looking for more natural alternatives. But few of them are really effective and most of them are very expensive. Seems like todays deodorant has to be edible because everybody is putting in coconut-oil, almond-oil and ground roots. I was also trying out different products including DIY mixtures for years - it was just a time consuming mess. And then I found the solution which solved the problem once and for all. It's super-cheaper, extremely effective and hassle-free.
It's Baking Soda - also known as sodium bicarbonate (alkaline), a multi-talented chemical compound.
You can either dissolve it in water until you have a slippery liquid which you then apply or simply wet your armpits and dip your fingers into the dry baking soda and put it on (my preferred way). It sticks to your skin and slowly dissolves directly where you want it. It does not prevent you from sweating, but reliably removes any body odor for at least 24 hours (even after heavy sports). So maybe you want to give it a try.
That's what it looks like in Germany.
Great idea, some of us men are muskier than others... being able to make some natural deodorants at home is RAD.
Bicarb also brilliant for liads of other things. Mix with vinegar to clear a blocked drain!
Yup it's crazy how much you can do with it - I just wanted to highlight this particular use case as it is my primary one :-)
Also good as toothpaste substitute I heard.
