hello my friends. doctor steemit is here again now 21000sp power more 2$ upvote makes the profitable post for you and you can get the information about the cushing syndrome.
Cushing's syndrome often develops as a side effect of treatment with corticosteroids. Corticosteroids are widely used to reduce inflammation and treat autoimmune conditions (where the immune system malfunctions and attacks healthy tissue).
Cushing's syndrome is all about the stress hormone cortisol. When your body makes too much of it, the excess hormone can throw off your body's other systems.
Common signs and symptoms involve progressive obesity and skin changes, such as:
Weight gain and fatty tissue deposits, particularly around the midsection and upper back, in the face (moon face), and between the shoulders (buffalo hump)
Pink or purple stretch marks (striae) on the skin of the abdomen, thighs, breasts and arms
Thinning, fragile skin that bruises easily
Slow healing of cuts, insect bites and infections
Acne
Cushing disease, which occurs when the pituitary gland makes too much of the hormone ACTH. ACTH then signals the adrenal glands to produce too much cortisol. A pituitary gland tumor can cause this condition.
Tumor of the adrenal gland
Tumor elsewhere in the body that produces corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH)
Tumors elsewhere in the body that produce ACTH (ectopic Cushing syndrome)
Treatment depends on the specific reason for cortisol excess and may include:
surgery,
radiation,
chemotherapy, or
the use of cortisol-inhibiting drugs.
Cortisol performs vital tasks in the body including:
helping maintain blood pressure and cardiovascular function
reducing the immune system's inflammatory response
balancing the effects of insulin, which breaks down glucose for energy
regulating the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats
Drugs that have been reported to result in hypercortisolism are glucocorticoids, megestrol acetate, and herbal preparations that contain glucocorticoids.
Tumour of the adrenal gland:
A tumour on one of the adrenal glands triggers the production of high cortisol levels. The tumours are usually non-cancerous. The pituitary responds by dropping its level of ACTH hormone, which causes the healthy adrenal gland to shrink. Onset of symptoms can be quite rapid.
medication for treatment:
Drugs that inhibit the synthesis of corticosteroid, such as mitotane, ketoconazole, metyrapone, aminoglutethimide, trilostane, and etomidate, have been used to cause medical adrenalectomy. These medications are used rarely and often are toxic at the doses required to reduce corticosteroid secretion.

you'r welcome
This is a useful post to be read by someone like me who has busy days that gives a ton of stress - sometimes lead to anxiety and depression. Stress is inevitable in our daily life but there is a powerful medicine for that - acceptance. The more we accept stress to be part of our life, the lesser we feel exposed to stress.
that true my friend thanks for your comment
