This is the first post in a series based on a subject I call quantum health and fitness. To put simply, this basically says that our thoughts and emotions play a primary role in the state of our health.
A fundamental principle is that our body is a physical manifestation of our "energy" self.
A healthy, vibrant "energy body" translates into a healthy, vibrant physical body.
It falls into the realm of Metaphysics which basically means "above the physical" and the level our thoughts operate on.
The quantum level.
It's a lot like using positive thinking to achieve success in life it's just that you use your thoughts to support/improve your health.
Remember that every cell in your body is listening to the thoughts you think, what are you telling them?
Much of my health, fitness and self-help material will be based on this philosophy.
So without further ado, here's a super simple concept you can use to clear your head and have more mental clarity.
The Brain Drain Principle.
We are all energy, in fact energy is all that there is.
Once you see this, much about everyday life becomes easier to understand.
Do you ever feel overwhelmed by all of the things you "know" you need to do but never seem to find the time to do?
If you are trying to keep all of the things you have to do in your head, it is draining energy from you.
Why?
Not only are thoughts things but they are also energy.
When you think of something that needs to be done, say like "I need to change the oil in the car," you create a "thing" that requires a little bit of your energy to "keep alive."
Once that thought is created, even if your conscience forgets about it, this internal commitment you've made with yourself is still alive inside your subconscious taking a little bit of your energy to keep going.
You know it needs to be done, but until it is, it will be "there" waiting to be completed and "closed out."
It's like an open case that needs to be closed and keeping it open takes a little bit of energy.
What happens is that we have hundreds or thousands of these uncompleted "to-do" thoughts in our mental RAM ( like computer RAM ) that are each taking a little bit of our energy.
Our RAM becomes overloaded and we get overwhelmed and throw our hands up not knowing where to start.
You KNOW you have all this "stuff" to deal with but can't remember what it is.
The usual symptoms are:
Stress
Anxiety
Worry
Unproductively
Fatigue
Here's what you do.
I call it the Brain Drain List.
Sit down for as long as it takes and write every single UNCOMPLETED thing down that may be taking some of your mental energy.
Even if it does not seem important right now when you think about it, write it down because if it "came up," it is an open case still and it's taking a little energy from you!!
Write it ALL down...
Get cat food
Make doctors appointment
Pay the electric bill
Paint the house
Finish my Steemit post
Go see grandma
and so on...
This is NOT a "to-do" list but just a list that you pour everything out onto even things that have just "been on your mind lately."
Once again, this is not a to-do list.
Why?
Because once you dump everything you can out of your head and reevaluate each one, chances are you will discover there is stuff you no longer need or want to do!
I have a page on Evernote called Brain Drain.
Every time I think of something that may need my attention at a later time, I put it there. Now I know where all my stuff is so I can free up my mental energy for creative stuff like Steemit.
Keep this list handy and every time you think of something you need to do, write it down.
Once you have your Brain Drain List, you can evaluate each item and transfer it to an appropriate to-do list for further action and closure.
The important thing is, if your brain BELIEVES that this list is a safe place to store those items and that you will refer to the list, it will release the energy associated with the items and you will feel a load lift off your shoulders....

I've been a truth seeker most of my life and have an intense interest in a wide range of subjects.
I'm starting out slow until I build a base of subscribers so if you have an interest in health, fitness, success and especially who it is that runs our world and how we got to the place we are today, then subscribe so we can share ideas and make Steemit great!
I'd like to credit David Allen, the creator of Getting Things Done, for introducing me over 10 years ago to the concept of writing all of your "open loops" down to free up mental energy.

I love the part where you say, "your body is listening to the thoughts you think." And I must say when I make a 'to do' list, I suddenly feel relaxed. Maybe its because I feel everything is in order, and my mind is free to tackle one thing at a time, without worrying that something won't get done.; Even if its not today, it's there as a reminder, sometime it will get done!

That's it bud :o)
Thanks for the comment!

Incredible post. I have been doing this at work when I get over whelmed with tasks. I am the Chief Engineer for a hi-rise in down town San Diego. The building has 248 Condos. Its a 5 star HOA in my opinion, so the people that own here have very high expectations. each condo is 1mil give or take
Writing out my brain on to a paper gives lets my head de-swell from the overload.
It really is amazing at how your mind releases tension, like a balloon deflating.
Thanks for the comment @captainobviou3, much appreciated :o)
