I hope you're fine and I hope you drink some water first thing when you wake up! If you don't, you should!
This is my second article on health within my series #doseofhealth! Hope you'll find it useful for you!
Here is why you should start your day drinking one glass of water!! BIG "why?"
Well, it is essential to drink water throughout the day because the human body contains 70% water. The muscles also contain 75% water, the brain 85% and the blood 82%. Your body doesn’t work properly if it’s deprived of water. Imagine how would it be if you don’t have enough air or food. Exactly the same thing happens to your body when you don’t get enough water.

Try to drink water when you wake up!
You can read below the benefits of drinking water in the morning on the empty stomach . It is recommended to drink water ½ hour or one hour before breakfast.
Regular use of water gives the skin a brighter appearance as the water removes toxins from the blood, and the result in a healthier skin.
No matter how much water you drank the previous day, you are dehydrated when you wake up. Think it's been 7-8 hours since you didn’t drink anything. Although the body does not tell you that it needs water, you have to drink because you need to hydrate yourself.
Drinking water early in the morning stimulates the production of hematopoiesis, a process called "new blood". This process of blood cell formation and development helps the body recover and cure certain diseases.
When you drink water as soon as you wake up and without eating something, your colon cleans naturally. This also helps the nutrients within the foods to be absorbed more easily.
Balances the lymphatic system. When you drink water the first thing in the morning, the lymphatic glands fight against infections and help us carry out our day-to-day activities. They also balance the fluids in the body.
If you drink water in the morning, you increase your metabolism rate during the day, burning calories 25% more than if you don’t drink water. If you plan to lose weight, always drink the morning water.
It eliminates constipation. The main cause of constipation is dehydration. Drinking an adequate amount of water in the morning helps you have a regular bowel movement.

One of my morning routines every day - in fact, I drink it warmed in the kettle first thing, sometimes with lemon or apple cider vinegar if I've a mind to!! Love it!
YES! This sounds like me! I try as often I can to warm a bit the water and add lemon or ACV! Good for the body right? At least for me it is.:)
Yes I do think so.. always sets me up for the day, even if that might be the only glass of water I get some days... usually I do drink more, but sometimes you don't always get to it again!

Such a great morning routine. I always add some fresh lime or lemon juice to mine first morning cup of water.
Ohhh I love lime!! I try as well having a glass of water + lemon but I don't do it every day. Not that I want to!! but sometimes I can't focus! Hugs @amy-doodrich!

Well, I'm glad you know this now! It's not to late! If you could do this every morning, would be amazing!! And sometimes, you could add some lemon juice or a pinch of cinnamon!in long term, it makes wonders for your health!

I cant go the whole night without getting up to drink water! I always keep a glass of water next to my bed and drink it in the middle of the night and I always drink water as soon as I wake up! Thanks for sharing!
Happy for you @cbanks! I don't usually drink water in the night 'cause I don't wake up normally but it's a great tip! I guess it's way better this way, as you do!:P Keep up with this habit!
I wake up in the middle of the night because I have an 11 month old :-) He woke up every night for a year straight so my body is just used to it now!

I am so glad they installed a filtered water machine at work. Now I drink many glasses throughout the day. My friend and I started bringing each other water at work, and now we are having so much. It makes me feel much better throughout the day than before.

Water is really important for us = ) I knew that drinking it in the morning can be healthy but I never knew all of the benefits that are there and I have to admit this definitely made me drink water in the morning whenever I can. I read that lemon water is really healthy for us as well since it clears the toxins which is super good.

I have this good habit to drink water in the morning as well. It is good to drink water with at least Ph 7.5, but the more alkaline the water, the better it is. If it happens that I do not drink water 💦 in the morning, I feel dry. 😉
