the source was vaccines.procon.org and in their paper they state the CDC as their source. And you're right: pertussis wouldn't be fun for older children. Funny enough, I have a great example for that. My eldest daughter had what I thought was a really bad cold, but I didn't think anything of it since we were all snifling a bit during the fall here in Ireland. I have my own remedies that work really well (for anything really) so that would clear it up quick enough. But when it consisted and her cough really sounded crazy, I decided to see the doctor with her. Turns out: Pertussis. The funny thing is that she was THE ONLY one of my 4 children who was fully vaccinated, the other three (my youngest 6 months at the time and fully breastfed) never got it....While it is very contagious. Later (much later) we found out there had been a couple of cases of pertussis in my daughters school, all in vaccinated children! So that kind of struck the argument of herd immunisation out of the water as well as no argument for people to blame such illnesses and the spreading of it on un-vaccinated people. When it comes to measles: I've had a discussion with someone who used to volunteer in a country in Central America, I believe it was Guatemala. He said that before he was there a huge number of children (and adults) died from measles and that since the vaccinations in the area it declined. he wasn't even talking about the 60's or 70's but just around the last turn of the century. It was one of the poorest areas in the country. But when I asked him what those people's diet was like he responded:: mainly beans and rice! Now I am NOT a doctor, however I am pretty sure that a healthy diet and a varied diet also helps build immunity and helps prevent disease. And since the people he worked with were charity workers helping those people with medical issues, food and education, they were also introduced to better hygiene and helped with growing crops for food at the same time of the vaccinations. So looking at that: can we really with 100% probability say that it was the vaccinations and not the other factors as well that contributed to the decline in that particular area? I don't think we can. The same should be applied to other areas in the world I think, but the statistics are put together by the people who have nothing to gain by a decline, but EVERYTHING by pushing drugs. Plus your argument about the 97 year old smoker doesn't really compare to mine about the measles. At the time, I was living in a big city. In my city there was a measles outbreak and not just there. Out of all cases that year, only 2 ended up in hospitalisation, no deaths. And the people who were hospitalised already had a low immunity. However, if you'd take your argument about the 97 year old smoker, and look around his area, then you'll probably find that others would have smoker related illnesses. So sorry, no argument there really. Comparing ONE old smoker to an outbreak of measles is not what I expect from a doctor to be honest. From experience (with my vaccine injured child) I can tell you that health professionals will lie to get people to vaccinate their children and push drugs onto them. When my eldest son was 4, I brought him to the doctor because I suspected a chest infection. The first thing the doctor asked was the status of his vaccines (the thing was: she already knew, it was in our files). I told her what she already knew, that he was not vaccinated for anything. She then ordered me to wait for the nurse so the nurse could 'inform' me about vaccines. I am from Holland so quite well informed, but out of courtesy I let them do their thing. The nurse spoke to me about vaccinations and told me what my son would need to be up to date she'd call me with details. When she did I told her that I'd consider giving him three out of the six (6 in 1 = Diphtheria, Tetanus, acellular Pertussis, inactivated polio, Haemoplilus influenzae b and Hepatitis B vaccine) but she insisted they could not be split up. She also said that pertussis is 'not nice' for older children either, just like you. But neither is the flu, or cold, we just get through it and with that build immunity. She then continued to press on about the MMR vaccines. I told her that I didn't consider giving those at all and gave her my reasons. Because she tried to win the arguments she then said: but there has recently been an outbreak in Galway and Cork. So when I asked her which illness? She said: Measles, mumps and rubella. I told her: So you're trying to tell me that two cities more than 2 hours apart but not the towns in between had an outbreak of ALL three diseases? That to me sounds like the outbreaks happened BECAUSE of vaccinations doesn't it? She HUNG up on me! That same doctor at the same office actually prescribed antibiotics for my sons chest infection and stated: He needs antibiotics because he won't get rid of it otherwise....I dumped the prescription, gave him garlic, lemon and ginger and went back in 3 days later for confirmation. She checked him and said: wow, the antibiotics worked fast, he's clear. I changed doctors after that and when my new doctor asked about vaccines, I told her the same about maybe giving my son the three out of six but that they couldn't be split. THIS doctor replied: Sure they can, you could only give one if you wanted....Note: I just reread your text and see you're not a doctor yet. I also wanted to let you know it's not you I'm arguing with, but the lesser professionals in the area. I really hope you do well in your studies and hope you keep an open mind. Whatever area of medicine you're planning on going into: I hope you'll be one of those that are not just drug pushers. You said you want to help make the world a better place, I believe you and I hope you do. Most doctors completely forget this when they finish med school.

Can you give me the link to your source please? And can you please go into detail if you accidently did not read about the different measurement methods or if you just think they were not worth mentioning.
Of course we can not. And of course a proper diet and a hygenie a worth a lot. Probably worth way more than vaccines alone. But does this say that vaccines are not a really powerful tool as well?
Sadly I do not have the time to go in depth with your story at the moment. However I will make a detailed post about my view on vaccines in the near future. I honestly ask you to stay tuned (you can follow if you want; I also will post the link under this text when it is ready) with me and then read the whole text without to many prejudices.
@ your note: I am not here to have personal arguments or fights with anybody. I respect your point of view as I hope you will mine. I think in the end we want the same thing - a better world.
And I am aware that there are many doctors who prior their own wallet over the patients wellbeing. I am sure as hell not planning to be one of them. If I would just be aiming to get rich I would not study medicine. Actually I already hat the chance of getting rich and turned it down cause money did not fulfill me. For more details please read my introduction post!
Have a nice day :)
Clearly vaccines have done no good at all and people lived better and died of LESS communicable diseases in the generations prior to vaccination.
