Hi @mcw, thanks for your comment. It got me thinking about what you said, so I did some quick research into this. I found this about MSG in a BBC article that goes along with what you said: "It's a common amino acid that occurs naturally in a large range of foods including tomatoes, parmesan cheese, dried mushrooms, soy sauce, a host of fruits and vegetables, and human breast milk. I'm certainly not an expert on MSG or chemistry, lol ;) but I personally believe the body takes naturally occurring compounds better in a natural food/plant form. Perhaps we have to worry about MSG mainly when it is created by man, as you said, by isolating the glutamate and sodium salt and creating what we know as MSG. Just my thoughts, I think the body is so smart that it instantly recognizes when we put something in our mouths that was created unnaturally and therefore creates some type of reaction.

MSG is natural amino acid and the one you could buy actually is industrially made from natural source, but just with a purification steps to get a pure MSG. This is just simply because taking from natural stuff is way cheaper. So not really have to worry if you are not eating high dose of them
