In as much as the capital city is expected to be neat, smart and clean this is not so with the capital city of Zimbabwe.
The city oldest location Mbare is a sight for sore eyes. It has dilapidated, rubbish everywhere and no wonder typhoid has hit the city. Passing through the Mbare area one actually wonder is this the capital city of Zimbabwe.
Where is the council, the municipality?
Nowhere to be found.
It is just dilusional. They take action when the disaster hits but on other days they act like it is normal to have sewages flowing. The roads have become the little rivers in Mbare. Children walk around, playing around the dirty as if its normal but why not its normal to them, the council sees so, the municipality, the ministry and they government, they all see it so.
People selling near such dirty. That water is sewage and you expect people to be healthy. I am angry because how come the local authority stand back and watch as people live like that, that is not fit for humans.
Those people are not animals that tolerate dirty, it pains.
A few days ago 17 people were actually admitted with typhoid and with a situation like this we actually expect more, people should against this because clearly someone is mismanaging the funds that are supposed to be used for the development of the area and the city at large.
I wonder if the typhoid has not also spread to another cities as people travel to and from.

And as the rains season comes more close I fear more cases and unfortunately even deaths because of this.
