I have long suspected that it wasn't Gluten that was making me ill when I eat pasta. It didn't make sense that only some wheat would make me ill and not all wheat products. The statistics show only a small percent are allergic to Gluten. According to The Healthy Home Economist, the real reason why American's are getting ill from wheat is a common farming practice used in the US. Farmers drench the fields with Roundup a few days before harvest. When you expose wheat to a toxic chemical it actually releases more seeds, increasing yield. As it dies, it "goes to seed".
