Benefit of Herbal Teas

in #health6 years ago (edited)

Because there are a lot of benefits in drinking tea that people might not know, I figure I would write a little short list of what different tea may help in.

Oolong Tea:

Oolong Tea is made out of Camellia sinensis plant which is the same plant that is used to make green tea and black tea but with a different process. Several studies have shown that:

-Those who drink 24 oz (720 ml) of oolong tea per day had a 16% lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
-8 oz (240 ml) or more of oolong tea per day had a 61% lower heart disease risk.
-In an animal study, those given antioxidants from oolong tea were found to have lower bad cholesterol levels.

There is a lot more research needed for Oolong Tea but I believe it does help in health in certain ways since my father always orders it after we eat some hefty oily food.

Peppermint Tea:

Peppermint tea is considered an all rounded tea. It helps out with digestive problems, bloating, or even nausea. It can even relieve stress and muscle pain.

Ginger Tea:

Ginger tea is one of the teas that are great for detox if you mix it with lemon. It also helps with food digestion, warding off cold and flu and inflammatory.

Chai Tea:

A little bit different than the other, because it is made using the combination of black tea, ginger and other popular spices like cardamom, cinnamon, fennel, black pepper, and cloves. Chai tea is definitely one of my favorite tea. Chai tea is great for lowering blood pressure, reducing sugar level, reduce nausea and Improve digestion. The next benefit might interest quite some people. Chai tea actually helps you lose weight.

Because chai tea is generally prepared with milk. It can definitely help you reduce hunger. Though I am not asking you not to eat at all. Chai tea is something that you can consider having as snacks instead of oily stuff.

Welp, that concludes my post, I hope it helps even if it's just a little bit. Have a nice day everyone, be nice, and, Peace.
