WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH.

Health is wealth. Everyone desires to have good health; not only is it paramount but it is very important to our well-being and our capacity to function to make a livelihood. Although we all want good health, not everyone knows how to better their health or improve it.

Due to the importance of good health, it is necessary for people to be equipped with the right information and techniques as regards how to effectively manage their health problems or challenges and also how to improve it.

I always advocate that “An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure”. We all need to take control of our health issues and improve on it so as to live better, productive live. Some ways of improving your health include:-

  1. Do go for a regular medical check-up:- Prevention they say is better than cure. It is very important to do regular medical check-ups as often as possible to detect any underlying problem you may be harboring in your body without knowing. Once you have a health insurance policy in place this is usually very helpful. Even when you do not feel sick a good medical check-up is necessary so as to detect any issue that may arise thus indicating if you do need medical assistance.

  2. Do maintain a good weight:- Obesity is the number one leading cause of death in people all over the world because it can result in diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cancer related illnesses and so many others. It is important that you are aware of your BMI calculations to find out if your current weight is healthy or if you are at the risk of any health problem mentioned above. Also watch your weight carefully not to add additional kgs or pounds.

  3. Try to exercise regularly:- It is very important to exercise as regularly as possible at least thrice a week. The benefits of exercise cannot be over-emphasized. Exercising is not only for losing weight but also for the general well-being of your body and internal organs. It increases the wellness of the body as well as reducing the risk of health related problems such as heart diseases.

  1. Eat a well prepared balanced meal:- Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. Also do make sure your meals always consist of healthy vegetables and fruits, minerals, whole grains, proteins and very little carbohydrates.

  1. Always drink lots of water:- The body is made up of up to 72%-75% water and so it requires to have regular hydration from water. It is very good to drink a lot of water as it is very beneficial to the body and health. Always drink lots of water before and after meals and not during meals to aid proper digestion. Water works magic on our internal organs, always have a bottle by your side.

  1. Stay away from junk food and soda drinks:- These terrible foods may taste good and appeal to the taste buds but they do no good to the body but promote harm instead. Ward off and stay away from them. One great tip is to make sure you don’t purchase them and keep them in your crib.
