RE: Sugar Baby!

in #health7 years ago

Does it cause cancer? Does sugar feed cancer cells, making them grow more barbaric?
And how does the sugar we take through food and drink affect our health,
and what can be done to get ride of it?

Cancer cells usually grow quickly, multiplying at a fast rate, which takes a lot of energy. This means that cancer cells need lots of glucose.
These cells also need lots of other nutrients too, such as amino acids and fats; it’s not just sugar they hunger for.

Here’s where the fable that sugar fuels cancer was born: if cancer cells need lots of glucose,
then to avoid sugar from our diet be more helpful to stop the cancer growing even at its first stage of developing
But to avoid sugar is not to simple because there are health cells in our body which need glucose and we can not let those cells without glucose but not
Once cancer diagnosed, then to follow the sugar free diet we cannot decrease the risk of getting cancer or
to increase the chances of surviving

And following severely restricted diets with very low amounts of carbohydrate could damage health in the long term
by eliminating foods that are good sources of fibre and vitamins.
This is particularly important for cancer patients, because some treatments can result in weight loss
and put the body under a lot of stress. So poor nutrition from these diets could also hamper recovery,
or even be life-threatening

I would avoid fructose and eat whole veggies and a little fruit. Fructose and glucose are broken down and used differently.

Here is a great article on how the body uses fructose and glucose

Regarding cancer and sugar, I do not know enough about this issue to comment.
