I find it interesting that she encourages people to thank their things/homes and think about them fulfilling their purpose. As a Reformed Hoarder™, that was one of the things that made it difficult to let go - I anthropomorphized everything and imagined if I got rid of it, it would feel unwanted and unloved.

lol. mmm i am similar, but i just have plain ol attachments to things. they're special and valuable and i'll never see them again if i let them go! her method of thinking of them having fulfilled their purpose with us and that perhaps it's their time to move on to fulfill their purpose with someone else was truly revolutionary to me. like - it has it's own life and maybe you're holding it back? lol don't hold back your stuff! haha!! total anthropomorphization!
