Regular Dental Visits Matter

I went to the clinic today and had a deep cleaning session with my dentist. It's been a while since my previous check up and cleaning and so I got scolded a bit by my dentist saying that I should be responsible enough to visit the clinic every 6 months.

The reason why I went to my dentist and had a deep cleaning is because my gum problem is already progressing at a rate that I may need gum surgery soon. That's considered late because it could lead to more problems if left untreated. And worst, it could cost me more than what I will be paying for a regular cleaning or maintenance.

That was an eye opener for me since I thought that I could simply treat the gum problem using home remedy treatment but I was wrong.

I now learn that I should do regular visit to the dentist before the issue becomes worst and not when it's already too late to do simple treatment.

Luckily, the dentist tried a deep cleaning and minor gum treatment this time. If I was too late then I may end up getting a surgery and that's something that I don't want to happen.

By the way, deep cleaning may sound simple but it's actually quite painful. Halfway along the procedure I told the dentist to pause a bit because he was rushing. He ask whether I would want him to inject anesthesia if it's too painful but I said "no need". I just needed a pause. It's a good thing that we had the pause because he slightly change his pace and he also adjusted the way he press on my gums and tools that he use for cleaning.

I lost track of time and then the treatment is complete, finally! I'm relieved 😌.

That's for my life update for today.

Have a great day!
