Star Anise in Stroud, where part of my tribe lives; almost meat-free(!!), seasonal, organic, and always with great vegan and vegetarian options. Here's their blurb:
ABOUT STAR ANISE CAFÉ ~ "Good food, family and community are the three pillars of our Stroud café. Our kitchen staff, trained at Concord Institute, are inspired by macrobiotic and whole foods cuisine. We offer a changing menu of seasonal, fresh and innovative food including sourdough breads, pastries and cakes made daily on the premises. We use organic ingredients wherever possible and endeavour to source from local businesses.
Our menu is predominantly vegetarian with the occasional fish dish, and we always cater for vegan and gluten-free diets.
As well as being conscious of the integrity of our ingredients, we also believe that food made in an environment of love and joy takes any dish to a whole new level of flavour and nourishment. As such, our staff endeavour to work together to create this environment; we are a family.
We also know that the community of Stroud makes us what we are. We open up our space to the community in whatever way it is served best - holding community run events, providing work experience opportunities and simply being here for people to come in, have coffee and do their thing."
Great post, colourful, and beautifully crafted. Reminded me of the many times our family have come together for great food at #feelthelove

Stroud is actually in the heart of England, near the city of Bath, near Bristol. Wonderfully counter-culture vibrant happening community :)
Ohh that's a shame. Went to Bristol last year. Too bad I didn't know. Next time. Going to Europe in April or May. Who knows where we end up ;)
