How I Freeze Bananas To Make Banana Ice Cream Without Dairy

in #health8 years ago (edited)

As simple as this may seem, people who are are new to this lifestyle tend to make the mistake of freezing #bananas with the peel on.

TO PROPERLY FREEZE YOUR BANANAS:
Before anything, let your bananas RIPEN. RIPE bananas are spotty all over. These are often called 'cheetah spots' because bananas become all spotty when they have gotten completely ripe.

A YELLOW banana with NO spots is NOT a ripe banana and please don't eat them when they are NOT ripe! Unripe fruits cause all sorts of health problems, like stomach ache, bloating, indigestion, heartburn, acne, and more. Plus, ripe fruits are always sweeter and optimum for your health and well-being.

1.) Once your bananas are fully ripe, peel them and chop them up in a clean dish or bowl (or even a BPA free bag) freezer friendly bag.

2.) Freeze your bananas until they are frozen for about 6 hours (or overnight). The longer you freeze your bananas, the frozen they'll get.

3.) Once your bananas are frozen, you can let them de-thaw for about 60 seconds and place them in your high speed blender and blend until a creamy and smooth consistency.

Serve and enjoy!

***the blender I use is a Dash Blender, which you can purchase here: http://amzn.to/2r8m0ff

The Dash Blender has a frozen setting, which makes it easier to turn frozen bananas into a delightful and creamy and smooth treat or meal.
