We should add different foods in our daily diet because each of them has bio-active components in them and help in preventing many diseases and provide tons of health benefits.
Sesame oil comes from sesame seeds. It is actually lesser-known vegetable oil. In fact, it is one of the healthiest alternatives to normal vegetable oils. It's scientific name is Sesamum indicum. Sesame oil became bit popular in recent years mainly because it is relatively inexpensive to extract.

Research shows that lignans help improve lipid profiles and can normalize cholesterol and blood pressure. Lignans help naturally lower cholesterol in a few ways — they can lower both serum blood and liver cholesterol levels. Like most vegetable oils, sesame oil is helpful and delicious because of its fatty acid content. It contains a wide range of polyunsaturated fatty acids, including sesamol and sesamin. These fatty acids keep the cardiovascular system strong and the LDL (bad) cholesterol levels low , thereby preventing atherosclerosis.
