Circulating about the efficacy of eating a banana that can make strong people kneel for hours without pain. My complete quote is included separately at the end of this post.
Is it true? For anyone who is lazy to read this article to the end, the short answer is: Not true. Pete has no benefit to strengthen our bones.
Long story is as follows. This is very easy to prove, without the need for expertise in health and food science.
Evidence of knowledge of food science a little. I quote from the article: PETE * contains * Gelatin * which can be ingested by the body for * M'sintesa Collagen ". (Do not forget other sources written kolang-kaling).
Gelatin is a protein not found in plants, but only in animals. Thus, it is not true that bananas (as well as frozen) contain gelatin.
But we go on, learn a bit more about pete (to next I write it as petai). However, it is a typical plant in several countries, especially Southeast Asia, including Indonesia.
Petai, in English known as bitter bean or stink bean, has the latin name Parkia speciosa Hassk. It has long been believed to be a fruit that has properties for the human body as an antidiabetic, to reduce kidney disorders and headache medications. For example it was reported that "Orang Asli" in western Malaysia uses petai to treat urinary tract infections. However, there are relatively few scientific studies that reveal the benefits of petai for human health.
Among the benefits of petai which have scientific evidence are as follows:
1. Anti oxidant.
If a food source has the capability of being an antioxidant, then it has the potential to inhibit the development of diseases caused by oxidative stress such as high blood pressure, cancer, blood vessel constriction, diabetes, and gastric disorders. Therefore, the study of the potential of petai in the inhibition of these diseases is interesting to learn.
2. Anti diabetes.
The benefits of petai as a type two antidiabetes have been demonstrated in experimental mice. However, long studies are still needed to ascertain its benefits as an antidiabetic in humans.
3. Anti-tumor and antimutagenik.
Some research has suggested that petai have relatively weak antitumor or antimutagenic activity. However, other studies say that the consumption of raw petai reduces the incidence of throat cancer in Southern Thailand.
4. Anti-microorganism (anti-infection).
There is evidence that petai can inhibit the growth of certain types of diarrheal microorganisms such as Staphylococcus aureus and Vibrio parahaemolyticus.
5. Anti hypertension.
A relatively recent study has proved that petai has the ability to lower blood pressure (high).
6. Anti anemia.
Indonesian researchers have shown that petai is useful for increasing hemoglobin in the blood of experimental miceIn addition, when viewed from the composition, petai is a potential source of potassium, calcium and phosphorus. In conclusion, yes petai has a potent potential for the human body, although nothing is so distinctive. That is, the potential petai is also owned by many other food sources. Some properties traditionally believed have been successfully proven, while some other properties have not been proven. As far as I'm concerned, no scientific research has shown that petai are beneficial for strengthening bones that make strong people kneel for hours. May be useful...
