I've had high blood pressure since I was about 14. I think it has gotten worse. My ankles keep swelling up and my vision is spotty. Also the feeling light headed and dizzy is annoying. I am scared to take BP medications but I have tried all natural remedies. I am working on my weight because I know it doesn't help. But for the meantime I need to get on the medication for it. I wish I had a healthy body. THANKS GENETICS AND LIFE STYLE CHOICES.
The difficult part for me trying to be healthier is that I am exhausted, in pain, and lazy a lot and I suck at planning my food out. Slow steps before a lifestyle change. I would like to become a heavy lifter or something like that. I met a girl that was a body builder and she had AMAZING stamina and energy.
Do you suffer from weight issues?
Do you have high blood pressure?
Any tips or words of encouragement appreciated.
I feel your pain I've got hypertension, overweight don't want to take medicine because it causes problems. Of course losing weight helps but what else has helped me is I use garlic supplements get the odorless kind. I also take a hawthorn supplement, watermelon is a diuretic if you can eat it frequently. Donate blood, u can do a google search on donating blood it forces you to make new blood so it don't get stagnant and thick. Keeps you from depositing plaque on your arteries. Good luck but I would do frequent checks and if you can't get it under control I would consider taking bp meds
over risk of having a floppy heart or stroke.
It's been so long I am scared its like the end of trying stuff. I had it when I was skinny too. I just know its worse cause thats the only thing that has changed. Unless testing proves otherwise.
I wish I could donate blood I am addicted to tattoos and piercings.
I love watermelon and I am going to eat more, I do have garlic supplements, I will start taking em!
I don't understand the " I think it's gotten worse part". Aren't you checking it? Being monitored? I've had HBP (High Blood Pressure) aka Hypertension since I was 16. Even with medication it is in stage 2. Usually above 150/110. In my case, I've had three family members die of a heart attack. My dad, when I was 5, and two brothers. Get yourself monitored, and at the very least check your blood pressure with a monitor you can buy. Stay away from salt and any added salt in your diet, try to keep your weight down and get some exercise in. Even if it's just walking for 30 minutes a day. Avoid stress and anger if at all possible too. I've had decades of high blood pressure and now have cardiomyopathy (hardening of the heart). It's called Left Ventricular Stress. I wish you the best.
