RE: Vaccination - My Point of View

in #health7 years ago

I was excited when I saw that you quoted a actual piece of science among the usual collection of misinterpretations and suspicions:

A recent medical study, conducted by Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center found how women who took flu shots had seriously weaker immune systems in subsequent years.
[...] If you are interested, read the full scientific study HERE

That was refreshingly interesting, so I read up the study, just as you suggested. And I was quite shocked when I saw what the study REALLY says, and I quote:

Compared to those without vaccination in the previous year (n=50), women with prior vaccination (n=91) exhibited higher baseline antibody titers and/or seroprotection rates against all four strains after controlling for covariates. Prior vaccination also predicted lower antibody responses and seroconversion rates at one month post-vaccination. However, at delivery, there were no significant differences in antibody titers or seroprotection rates in women or newborns.

So:

  • the immunization against influenza worked
  • yes, one month after vaccination, these women have a weaker overall immune system
  • after one year, this negative effect is GONE

I don't think you did this on purpose (that'd be intentional lying to your followers), but this demonstrated very plastically what happens when a non-scientist tries to interpret science in the direction he wants.

We - independent scientists - have profen multiple times and over and over again that vaccines are safe. And we grow increasingly tired of people with no scientific background knowledge whatsover that are cherry-picking some very few studies that state otherwise, misinterpret them and try to discredit us by telling us that we were baught.

Sort:

There is much more research for you to do, young apprentice. The point of this article was not to start discussions, but plant a seed so people can start looking at things from different perspective...

You, independent scientists don't bother me at all, if you can't realize in 21st century how science is money driven and there is basically no free speech allowed whatsoever.

Oh and yes, in case you didn't notice, the research I linked is part of governmental research as well, so you should logically expect it to formulate words in they way you independent scientists can use them to brainwash the masses...

You obviously don't understand what a little bit of Public Relations can do... To a not efficiently trained brain, but I can't blame you since, you are just an independent scientist right :)

In a world where science is fake and completely money driven, while real scientists who offer hard learned facts are censored regularly, even threatened so they have to fear for their own life and their children

another wave of BS without any conclusive argument.

In the age of information, ignorance is a choice

so true! Finally, we found a common ground!

You seem like a really intelligent man, but it looks like you are using your intelligence in wrong direction...

Never forget, everything you make yourself to believe, you will believe in...

All I'm saying is, even though this modern medicine/science is so efficient with words and all the PR Stunts so they manage to make it look like they really care, try to use some healthy dose of skepticism sometimes and you will realize not everything is how it seems at first.
