What's up sugar? You calling me fat?

in #health7 years ago

Fun fact: In the 50's there was a war between fat and sugar. Fat pulled the short end of the stick and was labeled BAD. They got the fat out of a lot of products. Because that products lacked calories they used sugar to replace the calories.

Seriously amazing how much sugar they put in some products!

I'll make this a short post: (if I get myself talking about sugar and the stuff it does to your body I can go on for ages)

Alot of people try to avoid sugar but them sneaky producers just put other names in the tag.

Here are just a few of the names you may not be so familiar with:

Barley malt, Corn syrup solids
Fruit juice, Honey
Beet sugar, Date sugar
Fruit juice concentrate, Invert sugar
Brown sugar, Dextran
Glucose, Lactose
Buttered syrup, Dextrose
Glucose solids, Malt syrup
Cane-juice crystals, Diatase
Golden sugar, Maltodextrin

Fat=not so bad

Choose foods with “good” unsaturated fats, limit foods high in saturated fat, and avoid “bad” trans fat. If u ask me they are tasty as well!

I can really recommend "That sugar film" awesome to watch.

Just wanted to post the vid but I got a bit carried away.. :) - x -

Don't know if it's true but "they" say sugar is 8 times more addictive than cocaine .....

If "they"say it they can't be wrong ;) Illuminati...

And it wouldn't suprise me! The whole sugar industry thrives on need for instant gratification.

And my dentist just bought his second new car this year ..... lol
