First of all, I want to say thanks to @englishtchrivy for inspiring me to post again about Himalayan salt. So I decided to present the main benefits of Himalayan salt, because many people doesn´t know much about this special salt.
Himalayan salt is a type of rock salt, which has matured over 250 million years. It is free from toxins and environmental pollution. The salt is not directly from the Himalayas as you may have expected but from Pakistani. There it is mined by hand and dried in the sun. You can recognize Himalayan salt by the pink color that originate from iron oxide deposits in the mountains.
What makes Himalayan salt so special?
- purest form of salt
- raw, natural and chemically untreated
- not bleached
- does not contain any flow aids such as aluminum and silicon dioxide
- free of artificial iodine and fluoride
- doesn´t have any additives
- contains 84 minerals and trace elements (calcium, potassium, magnesium,...)
- composition is similar to that of human blood
- strong and intense taste
- can easily absorbed by the cells
- crystalline structure
- regular consumption can help relieve health ailments
- has high energetic vibration frequency
The regular consumption of Himalaya salt could even have a positive effect on your health and could be helpful against some health issues. For example it can be lower blood pressure and improves the circulation. Moreover it helps to strength the bones and can also prevent muscle cramps. Himalayan salt promotes to stable pH balance in the cells and increase absorption capacities. The salt from the Himalayan can also have an beneficial effect on the nervous system. It should be able to flush out toxic substances from the body.
What's different from table salt to Himalayan salt?
- refined
- bleached
- cleaned with chemicals
- is added to flow aids (such as aluminum silicates, silica, calcium carbonate) for not clumping
- stripped of minerals
- enriched with synthetic iodine and fluoride
- contains no nutrients
I use Himalayan salt since many years and I never want to miss it. For me it´s important to eat natural salt, which doesn´t contain any chemical additives. An other point is, that the rock salt tastes much better than table salt. Himalayan salt is more expensive than table salt, but it´s the money worth. You can buy it in health food store, organic shops or in the web.
Thanks for this wonderful post!
I'm using Himalayan salt since 2010 in my kitchen. It's amazing!
