I don't know, when I was a child nobody considered those childhood illnesses weren't considered dangerous. You caught them once and then you were immune.

Yep, I agree totally, that was also the case here. What I heard that if you had not had the measles as a child and you get it when you are an adult, it could bring more damage to your health, but that's all.
Just google up statistics on those "harmless" childhood disease and compare how many people had to die because of those back then ;)
