Freeweight, strength training program is better for staying fit and it's not hard on your knees and ankles. Just my opinion of course. :)

I agree that it should not be a primary, long term means of fitness, but it's available to everyone, simple and good for cardio, which makes it a good place to start. Thank you for sharing your opinion, it's always welcome!
