  • My energy levels have been boosted
  • My focus is still bad, although I think it has improved; brain is still scattered
  • The constant feeling of exhaustion is gone; I now feel tired some of the time, which is a whole lot better than feeling exhausted all the time ;>
  • At one point, I had dropped to 200 lbs, or a 17 lb loss, but that was the day before the 4th...see below

My Bad...

I have noted that I am three days off in my records. While I had planned to take a day off for the 4th of July, I actually dropped off the program on the 3rd, when some friends stopped over for beer....and I stayed off on the 5th to "take care of" some leftovers from the 4th. I lost track of what I was doing at this point, it seems.

Overall, it looks like I had 7 days out of 14 (the second part of the program)where I did not take the supplements as recommended and 9 of 14 where I did not exercise. I heavily overate on 3 days of the 14, and I partially overate on 8. I gained 5 lbs in that 3rd through 5th period, so if I wanted to be a smartass I could say I lost 20 lbs LOL.

I also need to do a full review of which vitamins I am going to be taking; I had my own vitamin schedule before this program, and I haven't done a full comparison of what the program has; it looks like it's a little short in magnesium and zinc (and these two really helped when I added them to my previous regime).

I stayed good for the first 13 days; 10 on the "Cleanse" portion, and the first three days of the "Max" portion, but when I fell "off the wagon", I fell pretty hard it looks like...
but I didn't stay off!

For the future

  • I am going to become a distributor of this program
  • Spark will replace coffee for me
  • I remain on a diet
  • I am going to add walking w/ a 20lb weight vest to my exercise schedule (after I almost fell out on the July 1 Freedom March); right now I'm just swimming.
  • As soon as this tendinitis clears up (which I re-aggravated Sunday/Monday) I am going to add in a weight training program, Stronglifts 5x5, which is a beginner's weightlifting program.
  • I will continue to post results every couple of weeks here on Steemit. This motivates me a bit.
  • I am taking all this slowly; all I really want to do is to improve a bit every day

Making good progress Steve! Good on you!

You are absolutely KILLING it! You look great!

Best of luck on the Strongman program. I'd be interested to see some before/after numbers on each lift!

you're trying to get below 200?
I'm trying to get below 300.
Life is hard.

i'm fair short tho, so that makes a difference lol

true.
I've been +200 since high school
I played feetsball in high school
I was NOT fat.

Good going and good decision take it slowly! its way healthier than go starving and dropping more than supposed to. Its not just about aesthetics but about health too. And definitely have to listen to your own body response.
Good luck!

Nice going

I hate to be a naysayer there Buddy, but I don't think either one of us could make it through Parris Island right now!

Good g!d no LOL...I'm just aimin at gettin better than I am now. I been too fat and too lazy for too long...even though I suspect what is coming around the bend aint gonna be nice, I didn't take the right steps to keep in shape

When I went into the service I was boxing welterweight at 147. At the doc's yesterday, I was 136. You can do it Buddy! At one point I weighed 205 at 5'7" that ain't good!

I was at 241 at 5/7; but even skinny I had a thick frame

Keep at it!!
